Ambassador of India to Nepal Jayant Prasad handed over the keys of the ambulances and buses to the representatives of the District Development Committees and welfare organizations concerned today at a ceremony held at the Indian embassy at Launchaur, Kathmandu. [break]
On the occasion, the Indian ambassador Jayant Prasad read out a message of best wishes sent by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee.
The Government of India has provided 402 ambulances to the different welfare organizations working in 70 districts of the country. Likewise, 78 buses were provided to the educational institutions and welfare organizations, it is learnt.
