BAGLUNG, March 11: Chief political advisor to the Prime Minister, Devendra Paudel, has said that the incumbent government would turn into an election government if Chief-Justice (CJ) led government was not formed.

Paudel claimed that Bhattarai-led government would hold election if process is not successful although maximum efforts are being made to form the CJ-led election government.

At a news conference organised by the Revolutionary Journalists Association, Baglung, here this morning, he clarified that there was no alternative if the latest effort for political outlet was a failure.

He said the incumbent government would hand over the responsibility if consensus in all the political, constitutional and legal issues was forged in a package deal before formation of a new government and the election was certain by mid-June.

Paudel said name of the CJ was proposed as the last alternative as attempts made for the past one year to form an election government under the leadership of political parties was in no way possible.
