KATHMANDU, July 30: Incumbent president of Non-Resident Nepali Association, Thailand, Khagendra Dhakal is set to be elected unopposed during the election scheduled for Saturday.
The election will pick office bearers for NRNA Thailand for the next two years. According to the initial candidate list publicized by NRNA Thailand National Election Commission, only Dhakal is contesting for the post of president, while six candidates are vying for the post of a total five vice presidents and one general secretary. Those contesting for the posts of four vice presidents include Bhabindra Basnet, Mahendra Shrestha, Sangakar Adhikari, Sakoed Rama and Suman Adhikari.
NRNA Thailand elects new leadership
According to the initial candidate list, Kittiphum Rai, Withachai Porsri, Kanchha Gurung, Dipesh Shrestha and Malika Joshi are also set to be elected unopposed for the post of general secretary, assistant secretary, treasurer, youth representative and woman representative, respectively.
Likewise, Raj Karmacharya, Sanghith Rai Limbu, Sundors Artre and Amy Karmacharya are contesting for three posts of executive members of the NRNA Thailand.
