A team of 10 icefall doctors left for the base camp from Namche, Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee (SPCC) Programme Officer Kapindra Rai said.
The SPCC has been assigned a route up to the Mount Everest camp II. The route was severely damaged in the avalanche triggered by April 25 earthquake.
Mountaineering expedition to the highest peak in the world, locally known as Sagarmatha, remains disrupted for two consecutive years due to adverse weather conditions. Sixteen climbers were killed in a deadly avalanche that hit mountaineers in the midst of their expedition in April 2014. RSS
