None of us can really avoid any kind of news or information. Different media houses, various websites and other different kinds of technology are making it easier for us to be updated with both national and international news. [break]
In a way, national news gets more attention than international news. So the question is: How aware are you of international news?
Through our Facebook page, Praveen Bhusal shares his opinion, “I do sometimes read international news. So I’ve subscribed to a few international news media on my Facebook that keep me updated with world issues.”
Kurtyal Nirmal also expresses it in a few words, “If it comes to international sports news, I look forward to being updated. Otherwise, I only prefer to go through some highlighted news.”
Deep Thought (Facebook name) also feels the same and writes on our page like this, “It’s important because our lives are linked directly and indirectly with what happen in this world. News related to finance and politics have great influence on us. And most importantly, technologically advanced countries throw us in eye-popping state by introducing gadgets that we cannot imagine prior to its unveiling. This world is amazing and I am always eager to know what´s happening.”
Yogesh Shrestha, 21, a student of Bachelor’s in Business Administration, points out, “It depends upon the nature of the news. The most highlighted and burning issues often attract me whether it’s political, economical or sports.”
Whatever our preference, international news are getting more space in different news pages. We are also willing to be updated with such news which comes throughout the world. The concept of globalization and the easy access of finding such news may be the reason for this.
