Pradip Gurung put Pyramid ahead in the 14th minute but Dhiraj Tamang got back an equalizer four minutes later for host. Ganesh Khadka made it 2-1 for TIA in the 34th minute and Heman Gurung widened the gap in the 49th minute. [break]Gurung again pulled one back for Pyramid in the 59th minute but it was too late for a comeback in an hour match.
Winner TIA bagged Rs 30,000 and the runner up Pyramid Rs 15,000. TIA also dominated the individual awards. Dhiraj Tamang of TIA got the best forward award. He scored a total of seven goals.
Bishwas Shrestha and Heman Gurung were declared the best defender and midfielders while Siddhi Byanjankar of TIA won the best coach award. Raj Chaudhary of Pyramid was adjudged the best goalkeeper. Fair play team title went to St Lawrence.
Altogether 40 teams including two from host had competed in the three-week long tournament held in knockout format. National Sports Council Member Secretary Yubaraj Lama distributed prizes to the winners.
