Home ministry transfers 33 SSPs

KATHMANDU, Jan 17: The Ministry of Home Affairs transferred 33 senior superintendents of police (SSPs) on Wednesday.



According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Thakur Prasad Gnawali at the Staff Administration Department of Nepal Police Headquarters, Ramesh Kharel has been transferred to Bagmati, Keshari Raj Ghimire to Mechi, Yadavraj Khanal to Koshi, Bhog Bahadur Thapa to Sagarmatha, Shiva Lamichhane to Janakpur, Sarbendra Khanal to Narayani, Kedarman Singh Bhandari to Gandaki, Milan Basnet to Dhaulagiri, Mingmar Lama to Lumbini, Ganesh Bahadur Gurung to Karnali, Uttam Bahadur Singh to Rapti, Madhusudan Pudasaini to Bheri, Laba Bista to Seti and Chhabilal Joshi to Mahakali. Likewise, Devendra Subedi has been transferred to UN Department, Rana Bahadur Chand to Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu, Bijayalal Kayastha to Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Subodh Ghimire to Narcotic Drugs Control Law Enforcement Unit, Hemanta Bahadur Pal to Metropolitan Police Commissioner´s Office, Ramesh Phunyal to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Govinda Niraula to Police Academy and Madhav Joshi to Metropolitan Traffic Police Division. Meanwhile, Rabiraj Shrestha, who was suspended for three months for his alleged involvement in foreign currency haul at TIA, has been transferred to the Police Headquarters.
