The workshop will be facilitated by big Hollywood names such as Carlos Barbosa, production designer for Terra Nova, Magic City and Lost; Sonia Lopes, director at Screen Actors Studio; Adam Davis, arts director for Terra Nova, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Immortals; and Gabriel Beristain, cinematographer for The Ring 2, Blade 2, and Blood In Blood Out.[break]
The workshop is scheduled to be held from March 17 to 21 at The Malla Hotel, Kathmandu.
The cost of attendance is set at Rs 20,000 and registration forms are available at Citizen Bank, Kamaladi; Annapurna Travel, Ghanta Ghar; Mukul Finance, Baluwatar; and Salsa Dance Academy, Bhat Bhateni.
The five-day conference is open to participants above the age of 16 and the workshop is scheduled to end with a Hollywood Nights Party on March 21 which will include a chance to meet the guests from Hollywood and will also host an autograph session.
The cost of attendance for the party is set at Rs 5,000 each and is inclusive of dinner.
For interested students unable to meet the cost of the workshop, Om International Entertainment is also providing scholarship to deserving students from each of the 14 Zones of Nepal.
Students asking for scholarships are required to sit for an interview at The Malla Hotel on March 3 from 11 am to 5 pm. Interviewees are required to bring in their bio-data, citizenship certificate and a photograph.
