The HLPC also decided not to hold further talks with CPN-Maoist led alliance unless it reviews its demands.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, CPN-UML leader Raghuji Panta informed that the ongoing talks with 33-party alliance failed as the alliance put forth extreme conditions that undermines the scheduled November 19 CA election.
CPN-Maoist leader Dev Gurung, however, told reporters that the HLPC decision of holding talks with their alliance would be a ‘historic blunder.’
In the five-point demands put forth by the alliance includes reviewing the formation of government, forging agreement on the basic principles of the new constitution prior to election through the roundtable talks, among others.
