According to the Ministry, the guideline is expected to play a significant role in the early detection and timely reporting of diseases at the community level, particularly in the context of growing challenges posed by climate change and emerging communicable diseases.

The guideline emphasises the early identification of unexpected public health incidents and infectious diseases within communities, as well as the detection of non-communicable diseases. It also states that information will be rapidly transmitted to health institutions within 24 hours through women community health volunteers, teachers and social leaders.

Based on risk assessment, immediate response teams will be mobilised, the Ministry said. It has urged the public to promptly inform nearby health institutions or call the Hello Health hotline at 1115 if any unusual health problem is observed in the community.
