A statement issued by the British Embassy said that during his meeting with the president, Dr Hall discussed the longstanding friendship between the two countries, noted the excellent state of UK-Nepal relations, and said that British support for Nepal´s development and to the peace process would continue.
He also thanked President Yadav for the cordial welcome and unstinting cooperation he had received throughout his posting and extended his best wishes to the Nepali people as the nation completes its transition to peace, democracy and prosperity.
The new British ambassador, John Tucknott, will take up his duties in Nepal in mid-August, the statement added.
