Dhital, the Nepali mermaid qualified to seal universal place for London Olympics finishing 200m freestyle and 50m freestyle of the open section in 2 minutes 43.53 seconds and 33 seconds respectively to claim gold medals.
She clinched gold in 100m freestyle and 50m butterfly of the girls´ 15-17 age group with the timings of 1 minute 21.50 seconds and 35.62 seconds respectively.
In the open section, Sonira Bista (women´s 100m backstroke), Ceila Gurung (women´s 50m backstroke), Manish Chitrakar (men´s 50m butterfly) and Prabesh Adhikari (men´s 50m breaststroke) claimed gold medals.
In age groups, Ceila Gurung (girls´ 13-14 years, 50m backstroke), Niharika Tuladhar (girls´ 11-12 years, 50m freestyle), Jayant P Gurung (boys´ 15-17 years, 50m backstroke), Ankit Gupta ( boys´ 10 and under, 50m freestyle), Angeela Sangbo (girls´ 13-14 years, 50m freestyle) and Manish Chitrakar (boys´ 15-17 years, 50m freestyle) claimed gold medals in their respective age groups and strokes.
Likewise, Oshina Bharati (girls´ 11-12 years, 50m backstroke), Sonira Bista (girls´ 15-17 years, 50m breaststroke), Kiran Karki (boys´ 11-12 years, 50m breaststroke) and Sabbu Bista (girls´ 10 and under, 50m breaststroke) also claimed gold medals in their respective age groups and strokes.
In 4X50m freestyle relay of 17 and under age group of boys, team of Little Angels´ School, which includes swimmers Sanjeet Chaudhary, Sishir Thapa, Samrakshan Thapa and Dawa Zambo Sherpa, clinched the gold medal with a timing of 2 minutes 4.56 seconds. HIMS finished second in the relay while Shuvatara finished third.
LA wins team championship
Little Angels´ School won the team championship of the tournament with 90 points while Lincoln School finished second with 73 points. HIMS finished third with 41 points in its kitty.
