Gupta no longer CA member

KATHMANDU, April 17: Chairman of the Constituent Assembly (CA) Subash Nembang on Sunday informed a full meeting of the CA about the Supreme Court (SC) verdict invalidating the CA membership of Nepal Sadbhavana Party-Anandidevi (NSP-P) leader Shyam Sundar Gupta.



With the CA chair formally informing the CA about the SC decision, Gupta is no longer a CA member.[break]



The cabinet had appointed Gupta as a CA member, but NSP-A had moved the SC against the cabinet decision.



The SC delivered a verdict two months ago scrapping Gupta´s membership.
