During the meeting with cadres of the UCPN (Maoist) at the Prime Minister´s official residence at Baluwatar on Monday the Prime Minister said that the government was committed to forwarding the projects of economic development and prosperity continuously despite the political fluidity, his aide Prashanta Lamichhane quoted the Prime Minister as saying.[break]
Saying the government was fully committed to forward the works of economic development and prosperity in a speedy manner, Prime Minister Bhattarai stressed that party rank and file should be involved with commitment to support the same.
He said that there will be no dearth of resources to the plans of national glory declared by the government, and clarified that the government has focused its attention to complete the projects of the national glory.
Saying the Investment Board was formed for the development of the country, the Prime Minister said that efforts have been made to attract national and international investment on the projects.
Bhattarai added that direction was given to the Investment Board to give continuity to the works of attracting national and international investments.
Prime Minister Bhattarai expressed the commitment that there will be no slowing down on economic agendas at any expense.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister is likely to carry out inspection of the Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project and Melamchi Water Supply Project today.
It is said that the Prime Minister is visiting there to carry out inspection of the Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project, being constructed with indigenous investment, and for necessary directions.
He said that it was necessary to give momentum to the Melamchi Water Supply Project to resolve problems of drinking water in Kathmandu.
The Prime Minister had directed to complete the road expansion works of Kathmandu before monsoon and it was believed that a long term problems of traffic jam and problems of pedestrians in Kathmandu will be resolved with the road expansion.
More than two dozen cadres of the party working in the Kathmandu valley had reached Baluwatar to meet the Prime Minister.
