A cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar took the decision hoping that the decoration would help further strengthen relationship between Nepal and Saudi Arabia.[break]
Talal, the 19th richest person in the world with a fortune of US $ 19.4 billion, is in Nepal on a private visit. It is expected that President Dr Ram Baran Yadav will announce the medal during his meeting with Talal on Monday afternoon.
Talal, nephew of the Saudi King Abdullah, will be the first foreign national to be honored with the Rastradip since the country became republic in May 2008.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers also decided to present this fiscal year´s full-fledged budget in the parliament´s session scheduled for Nov. 19.
The government has directed the Ministry of Finance to make necessary preparation in this regard, Minister for Information and Communications Shankar Pokharel told reporters after the meeting.
The meeting also gave a nod to Passport Regulations 2067 which will pave pay to issue Machine Readable Passports and to the feasibility study of Dalkebar-Mazafarbar transmission line.
The cabinet meeting also approved the proposal to find strategic partner for the reform of the Agriculture Development Bank and approved the delegation led by PM Madhav Kumar Nepal to participate in the Tiger Convention in St. Petersburg, Russia from November 21 to 24, according to Pokharel.
