KAVRE, July 10: Politburo member of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) Agni Sapkota on Friday claimed that the current government is bound to dissolve soon. [break]

Addressing a function organized by the party to welcome new entrants to the Maoist party in Bhakundebesi, Sapkota claimed that the new government would be led by the Maoists again. He claimed that it is only the Maoists that can take the peace process to a logical end and draft a new constitution, he claimed.

Sapkota said that the Maoists allowed resuming House business following an agreement to correct the unconstitutional move of President Dr Ram Baran Yadav to reinstate army chief and to take action against the Army Chief Rookmangud Katawal within a month. “We will hit the streets again if the agreement is not implemented,” he added.

He also criticized army chief Katawal for what he said giving lecture as a political party leader at the direction of foreign powers.

Sapkota alleged that UML-led government is directed by foreign powers. He said the Nepali Congress was trying to hatch conspiracy against the Maoists and the UML sided with the NC in this conspiracy.

On the occasion, some 200 cadres of the NC, UML and Rastriya Prajatantra Party joined the Maoist party.
