Speaking at a program in Makawanpur Minister for Commerce and Supplies Rajendra Mahato on Wednesday made the allegation.[break]
“I was a member of the past governments including the government-led by late Girija Prasad Koirala and Pushpa Kamal Dahal but they have addressed the Madhes-based issues in a similar manner,” Mahato added.
He also claimed that Madhes would release itself from the captivity of the ‘Pahadis’ who have been ruling Madhes for the past 240 years with the beginning of the New Year.
“Let us make a new resolution in the new year for the sake of liberation of Madhesis,” Mahato said.
He also said that Maoists were the one to be blamed for the present delay in constitution drafting and peace processes.
He, however, said that the formation of the government under the leadership of the Maoists was possible if they implement past agreements including dissolving YCL.
