KATHMANDU, March 5: The cabinet meeting Saturday decided to perform the final rituals of former prime minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai with state honors and announced public holiday on Sunday to mourn the demise.
The government has also decided to mourn death of the former PM for three days by flying the national flags at half-mast and keeping condolence books at all Nepal’s diplomatic missions abroad.[break]
His body has been kept at his Ashram in Bandegaun, Lalitpur on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the public can pay their last homage to the veteran leader at Nepali Congress Party Office in Sanepa from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Dasharath Stadium, Tripureshwor from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The funeral procession will begin after 2 p.m. which will pass through New Road Gate, Bir Hospital, Ratnapark, Bagbazaar, Dillibazaar, Old Baneshwor, Gaushala and finally to Pashupati Aryaghat.
