Gold prices surge past Rs 300,000

The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association reports that one tola of hallmarked gold is now priced at Rs 3,01,400, and silver at Rs 6,190 per tola.

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Gold has hit a new milestone in the local market today, with silver following suit. The price of gold per tola jumped by Rs 9,200 compared to Thursday, while silver rose by Rs 320.



The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association reports that one tola of hallmarked gold is now priced at Rs 3,01,400, and silver at Rs 6,190 per tola.

On the global front, one ounce of gold is trading at USD 4,960, while silver is priced at USD 98, according to international media.
