Gold price down by Rs 1,003 per tola

KATHMANDU: Gold price went down by Rs 1,003 per tola (11.664 gram) to Rs 53,998 on Wednesday.



This is the highest drop in the price of yellow metal this week. Tej Ratna Shakya, former president of Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers´ Associations, said price of gold decreased in the domestic market following price drop in the international bullion market. [break]



“Gold price on the day went down in the international market by US$ 38 per troy ounce to $1,291," Shakya said. Gold was traded at $1,329 per troy ounce on Tuesday.
