The photography auction and exhibition accumulates creative people under a common roof and through the spirit of collaboration and expression connects photographers with people or even potential clients.[break]
A total of 25 photos will be selected as winners from the submitted photos, with five on the waiting list. Entries will be judged on the basis of the subject, application of techniques and perspective.
“The purpose of the exhibition is also to promote both new and old photographers. The theme for this event has been left open to interpretation but photographers are recommended to submit photographs which would be food for thought, photos which put forward as an alternative perspective or story,” stated the organizers.
The photographs will be exhibited at Cuppas, Putali Sadak, on August 31, 2012. The photos will be auctioned on the day of the exhibition itself, with each photograph starting from Rs. 450. The remaining photographs will still be kept on display at Cuppas for at least six months and will be on sale for a fixed price.
To be a part of this opportunity, interested photography enthusiasts need to send in two or three photographs that would make for interesting displays and fill an application form online at sattya.org/2012/08/auction/.
Photographs are to be emailed to sara@sattya.org or collective@sattya.org along with a 50 to 100-word description of each photograph. The submission deadline is August 19, 2012.
