According to Special Court Registrar Natibabu Lamichhane, Manange submitted a plot of land of 18 Ropani and 15 Aana at Sundarijal, Kathmandu. [break]
The plot belongs to a relative. Earlier, police had presented Manange before the court. Following his release, supporters who had gathered inside the court premises greeted him with slogans in his support.
The Special Court on August 20 sent Manange to Dilli Bazar Jail after he failed to submit the bail amount of Rs 29 million sought by the court.
However, Manange´s wife Pasang Dolma Gurung was released after she submitted a bail of Rs 250,000 sought from her by the Special Court.
The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police had arrested Manange on August 16 from City Center shopping mall at Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu.
The Department of Money Laundering Investigation (DoMLI) had filed cases at the Special Court against Manange and four other notorious gangsters on May 19 on the charge of amassing property through illegal means.
Manange has been accused of amassing Rs 147.3 million through extortion, illegal contracts and banking transactions and other illegal activities.
Two other accused, Ganesh Lama and Parshuram Basnet aka Krishna Basnet, have already been released on bail while Chakre Milan aka Milan Gurung is still in jail for his involvement in drug smuggling and other crimes. Another accused, Abhishek Giri, is yet to appear before the Special Court.
