The company, which represents Samsung in Nepal, had initially announced to launch Samsung's new flagship phones in the Nepali market by March-end. But the delayed the launch in Nepal as these phones are yet to be launched in India itself.
"These flagship phones are likely to be launched in India on April 10," Dikesh Malhotra, president of IMS, told Republica. "We will try to launch these phones in Nepal by the third week of April after their launch in the Indian market."
Malhotra said Galaxy S6 will cost around Rs 80,000 in the domestic market, while S6 Edge will be available at around Rs 95,000.
The latest offerings from Samsung have aluminum and glass body. According to the company, both the phones have 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen. Similarly, both S6 and S6 Edge have 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. While the Galaxy S6 sports uses 2,550 mAh battery, S6 Edge is powered by 2,600 mAh battery. Both the phones are available in three color options -- black sapphire, white pearl and gold platinum.
"As these phones come loaded with many additional features including the features of our previous flagship model, we believe that they will certainly change smartphone experience of Nepali users," said Malhotra.
