Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, Gachchhadar said that the news dispatched by Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) and published by Republica has drawn his attention and he was saddened to see it."The peaceful protest for rights and identity in Madhes and Tharuhat regions has created uncomfortable situation and blockade at Nepal-India border, resulting in panic among the people," reads the statement.
"I had urged the government of Nepal to settle the issues through dialogue but I had never alleged the government of India for the blockade," he added.
The news report published on Wednesday had quoted Gachchhadar saying that the border blockade caused by Indian side ahead of Dashain and other major festivals was not good as it had caused shortage of petroleum products and other commodities.
