Four killed in separate incidents of lightning

KATHMANDU, April 6: Four people were killed in separate incidents of lightning on Thursday.



In Madhavpur, Puthuwa-8 in Chtiwan, 55-year-old Tika Lamichhane and 65-year-old Parbati Lamichhane were killed afer being struck by a bolt of lightning, police said. [break]



Likewise, Aita Singh Gole of Bhadrakali-5, Sindhuli was killed after a bolt of lightning hit his house in the evening.



In a similar incident in Jhapa, Gopilal Karki, a Bhutanese refugee residing in the Beldagi camp was killed on the spot after being struck by lightning.



Police are investigating the cases.
