Former king expresses sadness

KATHMANDU, July 28: Former king Gyanendra Shah has expressed sadness over the misbehavior of his aides with the journalists while he was attending a ritual ceremony at Latarambeshwar Temple in Bhangal Chittapol-7 on July 26.



The journalists were manhandled after they tried to speak with the former king. [break]



Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel violently pushed the journalists who tried to move nearer to the former king to ask some questions to him while he was preparing to get into his land cruiser to leave the venue.

 

A statement over the incident was issued by Shah´s personal secretary Phadi Pathak on Wednesday.
