BAJURA, March 29: An acute shortage of foodstuffs and salt has hit the people of Bajura, the remote hilly district.

The quota for foodstuffs and salt separated the government for the current fiscal year has already finished.

Many district residents visit the food depot in the district headquarters daily and return empty-handed, as the depot is running out of foodstuffs and salt these days.

The Bajura people have been facing a problem to mange two square meals in a day for the past few years due to a fall in crops production caused by the prolonged drought in the district.
