According to the police, a passenger died on the spot while four others breathed their last while undergoing treatment at nearby Tamakoshi Hospital. Five people, who have been critically injured, have been referred to Kathmandu. [break]
So far, two of the deceased have been identified as Goma Bhandari of Gothgaun-1 in the district and Prem Bahadur Karki of Fulbari, Okhaldhunga district.Karki died on way while being ferried to Kathmandu for further treatment. The injured are undergoing treatment at Ramechhap Community Hospital and Manthali Polyclinic.
According to the eye-witnesses, the ill-fated bus, Na 1Kha 7783, had lost control before the accident. The police have suspected that the bus might have hurtled down the hilly road, which has turned slippery as it was drizzling.
