"We have a plan to go international," Suman Pandey, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company told myrepublica.com. "Recently we conducted two flights to Bhutan," he added, adding that the company has already secured permission to fly to Bhutan. [break]
Pandey said the company will operate flights on both long and short routes. According to him, Fishtail is about to start a Heli Skiing service over Mt Annapurna. He said two helicopters are being used to for the service in high hilly and mountainous region.
At a program organized by the company last Thursday, it was informed that the company has recently purchased two Euro Copter SS 350 B3 helicopters. The company has now five helicopters.
A few months ago, Fishtail Air helicopters were used to carry ministers, journalists and other delegates to Everest base camp for the historic cabinet meeting held there.
"After this successful operation, many foreigners and locals have shown interest to go Everest base camp through our helicopters," he said.
Pandey said the company has already launched regular package to Everest and Annapurna base camps. Besides, the company also provides chartered service for rescue operations, corporate houses, foreign embassies, development projects and special commissions.
Bikash Rana, chairman of the company, said the company would focus on maximum utilization of its fleet. Rana said Eurocopter helicopters can fly to high altitude areas.
