Fire ravages Bhutanese refugees camp

BHADRAPUR, March 1: A huge loss incurred when fire that broke out at Bhutanese camp in Beldangi, Jhapa at 12.30 Thursday night ravaged the structures.



The fire gutted altogether 120 huts at the camp. Some 20 huts were demolished to bring the fire under control, informed Armed Police Base Camp in Beldangi. [break]



The fire broke out from the hut owned by Ramchandra Baskota at Beldangi-2, Sector-4.



It has been brought under control at 4.30 this morning with the help of fire engines from Itahari, Damak and Bhadrapur. Locals and Armed Police personnel joined hands to douse the fire.



Primary speculation is that loss worth tens of thousands rupees has been incurred due to the incident.
