Fire losses at Rs 45m

KATHMANDU, April 2: Fire incidents have caused loss of Rs 45 million across the country in the last three months.



According to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA), altogether 367 incidents of fire took place from January to March in various places across the country. [break]



Deputy Spokesperson of MoHA Ekmani Nepal said 45 people lost their lives while 46 were injured in the incidents.



Similarly, 602 houses were completely destroyed while 62 houses were partially damaged.



Also, 71 sheds were gutted and 242 animals were killed in the incidents.
