Fire guts 35 houses in Banke

BANKE, June 14: At least 35 houses were gutted to cinder in a fire at Mataiya VDC-8 in Banke district this morning. The fire has not been brought to control as yet though the fire fighters and locals were effortful to douse the fire.[break]



Earlier on Tuesday afternoon too, property worth Rs 10 million was destroyed after the fire gutted some 150 houses.

Bikram Singh Thapa, Superintendent of Police, said additional police force has been sent from to put out the fire.
