The fire which is spreading rapidly has endangered the nearby villages, informed the locals. [break]
Around 109 houses in the Ulleri village and nearly dozen houses in Phulchuke village has been threatened by the fire.
According to local Gun Bahadur Pun, the villagers have been trying to douse the fire but are not successful due to the wind which is spreading the fire rapidly.
The hotel owners have started shifting their belongings and the tourists residing in the area have started fleeing fearing the inferno, informed Pun. Aama Samuha, locals and students have been rigorously trying to bring the fire under control. The geographical structure of the place has been the major hindrance to douse the fire, Pun said.
A police squad has been mobilized to the incident site informed Kaski Police Chief SP Yadav Raj Khanal.
"The police team has been delayed to reach the incident site as they are on foot. Vehicles do not reach the area," Khanal informed.
The incident site is at a six-hour walking distance from the police station. Armed Police Force and army have also been informed of the incident, Khanal said.
