Police said the fire destroyed the house of Rudra Kumar Karki at Madyapur Thimi Municipality-15.[break]
Two motorcycles (Ba 28 Pa 1983) and (Ba 18 Pa 1038) were completely destroyed in the fire.
Police suspected that an electric short circuit might have cause the fire.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahesh Kumar Singh, Karki´s stationary shop and the mobile and TV repairing shop of Prakash Manandhar, both situated at the same house, were destroyed.
Singh said police personnel, locals and a fire engine controlled the blaze.
