Fire destroys property worth Rs 1 million

SARLAHI, April 12: A property worth Rs 1 million was gutted when a fire broke out at Annapurna Sugar Factory following a gas cylinder explosion today.



A building housing workers of the factory was destroyed in fire that broke out at around 9 in the morning, Sarlahi police said. [break]



However, no human casualties were reported. The workers removed five gas cylinders in the building that must have prevented further casualties, Police Inspector Ram Kaji Thapa said.



Nepal Police and Armed Police Force officials and locals doused fire. The fire brigade of Sarlahi district has been grounded for last two years.
