“Besides that we have also seen possibility of renewal energy development in Nepal as well as assistance in regional land mapping,” he said taking to media persons Wednesday at the end of a three-day visit to Nepal.
Vayrynen also spoke of the potential for increasing Finnish investment in commercial high-tech and telecommunications in Nepal.
“Our investment has already entered in communications, we will inform our business companies about the further possibilities to increase the investment in this sector,” added Vayrynen.
Emphasizing social and economic reform in Nepal, he stressed the establishment of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for creating a favorable business environment.
“Lack of security should be ended as soon as possible and ongoing violence should be renounced to make for a conducive environment to increase foreign environment,” he further added.
He said that Finnish commercial high-tech companies could promote development programs in Nepal as well as support Nepali products seeking European markets.
He assured that Finland would continue to support drinking water supplies, sanitation, environment and forestry under cooperation in natural resources.
