FIDE Arbiter seminar kicks off

KATHMANDU, Sept 15: FIDE Arbiter seminar for the first time in Nepal kicked off in Dhulikhel on Tuesday. Altogether 17 arbiters - 16 Nepali arbiters and an Indian national -- are participating in the three day-long seminar. Among the 16 Nepali participants, 11 are qualified while five are players.



Asian Chess Federation Vice President Abundo Castro and Indian international arbiter Dharmendra Jha are conducting the seminar. The successful candidates of this seminar would be designated FIDE Arbiter.



Nepal Olympic Committee General Secretary Jeeven Ram Shrestha inaugurated the seminar, which is organized by Nepal Chess Association.
