Nick Faldo created the Faldo Series in 1996 to give opportunity to young people and identify and nurture the next generation of champions. Thirty seven annual tournaments are held in 27 countries worldwide. Boys and girls aged 12 to 21 can participate in such tournaments.
Junior Golfers from Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal will take part in the tournament and a minimum of four qualifiers will be eligible for participation in the Faldo Series Grand Final Asia to be held in Mission Hills Golf Club, China.
Nepal Golf Association (NGA) General Secretary Tashi Ghale informed that he received a confirmation to hold a Faldo Series Regional Junior Golf Tournament recently at a function held at Mission Hills China. "Sir Nick Faldo has promised to come to Nepal during the tournament to support junior golf," said Ghale.
Nick Faldo is a legend golfer and has six golf major titles under his belt. Past winners of Faldo Series include Major Champions Rory McIlroy and Yani Tseng.
