Former PM Shrestha passed away during the treatment at Norvic International Hospital, Thapathali on early this morning. He was suffering from lung cancer.
Shrestha’s body has been kept at his residence in Dhapasi for paying last tribute to him.
Earlier, Chairman of the Interim Election Council, Khil Raj Regmi reached Shrestha’s residence Dhapasi for paying tribute to Shrestha.
Similarly, Home Minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire and other ministers, UCPN leader Baburam Bhatarai, Rastriya Prajatanta Party – Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa and CPN-Maoist leader Dev Gurung also paid tribute to Shrestha.
