Expressing objection to the report, they said the state should not be restructured on the basis of the committee´s report. They also warned to take to the street if their voices fell on deaf ears.
Acting chairman of the Kochila State Council Lekh Raj Khawas said the committee´s proposal on state restructuring would invite ethnic conflict in the country and put the existence of Koch at risk. "Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari are the ancestral homeland of Koch", he claimed.
Similarly, Federal Limbuwan State Council, Khambuwan National Front, Tharuhat and Tharu Welfare Assembly among others have also protested the report and warned to launch a stir against it.
