The panelists spoke on a number of topics such as politics, representation of youth in politics, budget, importance of research, etc.
Speaking about why research is important, Chaudhary stated, "More than 14 years ago, the government declared that kamlaris are free but problems persist to this day. The kamlaris do not have good healthcare or education facilities, and they're still suffering. I feel the government should conduct a thorough research if they expect a revolutionary change in the system."
Krishna Gyawali, National Coordinator for Millennium Challenge Corporation, commented that governance is a combination of politics and service. Addressing young people, he stated that those who want to contribute to the governance don't have to be a politician. You can do so by being good at what you are doing so that it benefits the nation at large.
The Winter Fellows had also prepared a poster on their projects which was displayed at the event.
