The ACC's meeting in Singapore decided to host the event that will feature all four Asian Test nations, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, sending their A teams, the Press Trust of India reported."Asian Test nations like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh will send their A sides with three players mandatory from the senior side. The associate nations like Nepal, Afghanistan and Oman will play their first teams. This is an endeavor to make Asian bloc stronger in cricket. The more they will play against Test nations, they will become far more competitive," the reported quoted BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur.
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka agreed for the event during the meeting of the ACC. Although, schedule for the event is yet to be finalized, the event will be organized on alternate odd years. Bangladesh will be hosting Asia Cup T20 tournament next year and India will be hosting the 2018 edition of the Asia Cup.
Meanwhile, the four Asian Test nations have also decided to contribute two per cent of their annual income to ACC for development of cricket in emerging nations, the report further added.
