Talking to a delegation of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) which called on the prime minister today, he promised to extend all possible support to the private sector. [break]
Addressing the business leaders, the PM acknowledged the role of the private sector in the economic development of the country and promised to work for the revival of private sector´s confidence. He promised to continue his interaction with the private sector, meeting them at least once a month for their feedback and working together with them.
Bhattarai requested FNCCI to work aggressively for attracting foreign investments in sectors including tourism, energy, agriculture and infrastructure development, among others.
During the meeting, FNCCI President Suraj Vaidya asked the government to introduce programs to improve business and industrial climate, which is currently at the receiving end due to problems like energy crisis, labor unrest and lack of peace and security.
