A group of about 15 recovering former drug users had shot at BK during a clash with the Council’s youths at Shiva Marga in Dharan-18 at around 9 p.m. on Saturday. BK said he, however, managed to flee to safety. [break]
The accused youths are Ganesh Limbu, Diwas Rai, Milan Rai, Chitra Limbu, Ratan Limbu, Umesh Rai, Karna Limbu, Suman Limbu, Awishkar Limbu, Devraj Limbu, John Rai, Gautam Khaling Rai, Rajkumar Rai and Raja Rai.
Police said they have intensified search for the accused. The police will also take action against the accused on the basis of the complaint filed by policeman Sagar Magar who was injured in the incident, Police Inspector Durga Dahal said. Magar was hit by a bullet on his chest.
Police had arrested Rajkumar Rai and Bhuwan Rai of Dharan-11, Gautam Limbu of Dharan-19 and Rijan Shrestha of Dharan-1 immediately after the incident and also recovered a bullet, a cartridge and seven motorcycles from the site.
The clash ensued following dispute between the recovering youths and the Council over the tender of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences and Dharan Municipality.
