KATHMANDU, July 31: Accusing the government of not implementing past accords, Dr Govinda KC of the Institute of Medicine (IoM) on Thursday again warned of a fast-unto-death if past agreements are not implemented within a week.

Dr KC, a senior professor at the IOM, has already staged hunger strike five times in the past.Addressing media persons at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) on Thursday, Dr KC said, "It is unfortunate that we have such an irresponsible government and people in authority are corrupt," said Dr KC, who had last staged fast-unto-death in November last year.

This time Dr KC has forwarded a five- point demand, which includes, unveiling the report submitted by a commission led by Professor Kedar Bhakta Mathema and implementing it. Dr KC has also demanded implementation of all the past accords signed between him and the government.
