DIG's house robbed

KATHMANDU, April 10: A group of around four persons broke into the house of DIG Bishwa Raj Singh at Budhanilkantha early Saturday morning and made off with jewelery and cash worth Rs 700,000.



The robbers who wore masks fled with the booty after spending around 25 minutes in the house after the 2 a.m. robbery, SP Ganesh KC said. Singh is stationed at police headquarters in Naxal. [break]



There were four police personnel deployed for the security of Singh´s house. The police are yet to identify the robbers.



This is the second incident of the robbery at police personnel´s house within a month at Budhanilkantha area. SSP Ran Bahadur Chand´s house was also robbed around a month ago.
