A meeting of the corporation’s board of directors on Saturday decided to increase the existing retail prices of diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per liter.
The price adjustment follows a revised purchase price list received from Indian Oil Corporation on Saturday, which showed an increase in petroleum product prices.
Although the purchase price of diesel from IOC rose by Rs 4.66 per liter, the corporation said it raised the consumer price by only Rs 3 per liter, keeping consumer interest in mind.
The revised prices will come into effect from 12:01 am on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the corporation has reduced the price of aviation fuel. The price of domestic aviation fuel has been cut by Re 1 per liter, while international aviation fuel for Kathmandu has been reduced by USD 7 per kiloliter.
Despite IOC increasing the price of LPG by Rs 45.49 per cylinder, the corporation has kept the retail price of cooking gas unchanged for now.
