Diarrhea kills 2 more

DADELDHURA, Aug 22: Diarrhea epidemic in farwestern region has claimed two more lives on Friday and Saturday in Kanchanpur and Dandeldhura districts.



In Dadeldhura, a seven-year-old child died in Alital-3 on Saturday. Manoj BK breathed his last while being rushed for treatment according to a local. The death, eighth due to the disease in the district, comes a few days after the District Public Health Office claimed that the disease has come under control.



Meanwhile, the disease has reappeared in some of the 12 VDCs that were previously affected by the outbreak.



Similarly, in Kanchanpur district , a woman died of diarrhea on Friday taking the death toll in the district in the past one month to four. Chandradevi Budha, 55, of Khalla Machchhetti, Bhimdutta Municipality-9, died at her home in course of her treatment on Friday night.
