KATHMANDU, Nov 30: United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) leaders said they will not take part in the three-party meeting called by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
The top-notch leaders of the UDMF are not attending the meeting scheduled for 11 am as they are holding a meeting at the same time in Biratnagar.
Province 1 fixes Biratnagar as capital
According to Manish Suman, General Secretary of the Sadbhawana Party, Upendra Yadav, Rajendra Mahato and Rameshwar Raya Yadav will remain absent in the meeting.
"The top leaders of the UDMF are holding meeting in Biratnagar to prepare future action plan for movement at a time when the government has called a three-party meeting to hold talks with the agitating Madhesi parties," said Suman, adding "Mahantha Thakur is likely to take part in the talks."
Leader Mahantha Thakur's participation is also not certain as he is suffering from tooth-ache, a source said.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had called a meeting to hold decisive talks with the agitating Madhesi parties at 11 am today.
It is expected that ruling party leaders and top leaders of the main opposition party Nepali Congress will participate in the meeting.
