The convention elected Mahendra Narayan Shrestha, Anita Kunwar, Brij Kumar Yadav, Jagadish Bhattarai, Bishwo Shankar Palikhe, Ujjwal Chaulagain, Resham Lal Chaudhary, Gopal Kumar Jha and Dipendra Chauhan as members of the association.
The Ban is an umbrella organization of 52 commercial radios operating in various parts of the country. Altogether 49 members had cast vote in the election.
Dhakal was general secretary of the BAN before the election.
